1968 Pontiac Firebird 350 HO, Original 4 speed Positraction Stripe delete. PHS Documentation, this is a very low production Firebird. Long term build with lots of new parts by previous owner. I'm in the process of making the Firebird drive and be dependable like it should. If you are interested in this low production number Firebird. I will be progressing with getting the car sorted out so the price is negotiable as to what stage it is in. $24900.00 when completed.
I have the PHS (Pontiac Historical Society) report of options and this is what I know about the Firebird. Several years ago the owner wanted a drag car so it went in that direction. The car never made it to the strip and was traded for a body and paint on another vehicle. Body Shop painted the car and traded it for a few other cars. In the deal the new owner had the shop assemble the car.
New parts:Exterior Black Paint very straight and deep shine, original green car. Front Bumper, 400 Hood, Wheel opening moldings, single piston front disc brakes, brake lines hard and soft, Brake Booster, Front suspension parts, all shocks, All glass and glass moldings, belt moldings outer & inner, door handles, ALL new interior, gas tank and hard lines. rocker moldings. Auto-wire wiring kit. I'm sure there is more. Resto Radio not installed yet. It looks very nice and fresh.
Engine:Original 350 Block custom HP build, 670 heads, roller rocker arms, Weiand dual plane intake, new ready to run distributor and coil.
Cooling:Heavy duty Harrison Radiator recently cleaned and checked since I didn't know the exact history, electric fan added with relay kit, had flex fan and no shroud.
Drivetrain: Original Muncie 4 speed, recently gone through, have the receipt, Scatter shield, clutch unknown, rear gear ratio changed back to stock 3.36, the posi is nice and tight. Radial T/A tires 15" front rear, 5 spoke wheels.
Exhaust: Hooker Headers and Flowmaster mufflers nicely done. Please call for more info if you are interested I prefer to speak to you rather than try to answer your questions on email.
